Jedat Starts Supporting X-FAB Standard Format iPDK

2021.06.16

Jedat Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Kazutoshi Matsuo, hereinafter “Jedat”) has built an environment (Wrapper) to comfortably use xh018-stdformats-iPDK provided by X-FAB on SX-Meister with the cooperation of X-FAB Silicon Foundries SE (Headquarters: Tessenderlo, Belgium, hereinafter X-FAB).

X-FAB is a global foundry that manufactures silicon wafers for analog / mixed signal integrated circuits. One of its lineups, XH018, is the flagship technology of the company’s 0.18 µm technology, which has high performance and high temperature resistance, and can integrate high withstand voltage devices and non-volatile memory. In addition, stdformats-iPDK is an iPDK series developed by the company with the aim of eliminating dependence on EDA tools as much as possible. By supporting Wrapper for comfortable use of xh018-stdformats-iPDK on SX-Meister, Jedat’s advanced custom design environment, it enables easy circuit design and layout design for promising markets such as in-vehicle, industrial, medical, and IoT.

Jedat joined the IPL Alliance in September 2007 and has been promoting standardization. In addition, since last year, Jedat has been supporting iPDK of X-FAB with the cooperation of X-FAB. Jedat has enhanced the PDK I / F of SX-Meister and built various settings and definitions for comfortable use of xh018-stdformats-iPDK on SX-Meister as Wrapper.

In providing Wrapper this time, Jedat carefully tested the operation of “xh018-stdformats-iPDK + Wrapper” and obtained confirmation from X-FAB. The Use Guide for “xh018-stdformats-iPDK + Wrapper” is available from myXFAB of X-FAB. Also plans to expand the support range of stdformats-iPDK.

X-FAB is a world-leading foundry group for analog-mixed signals and MEMS, and manufactures silicon wafers for in-vehicle, industrial, consumer, medical, and other applications. With 1.0-0.13 micron CMOS / SOI process and special SiC / MEMS long life process, X-FAB provides customers all over the world with the highest level of reliability, outstanding manufacturing technology and innovative solutions. X-FAB’s analog-digital integrated circuits (mixed signal ICs), sensors, and micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) are manufactured at six factories in Germany, France, Malaysia, and the United States. There are 3,800 employees worldwide. For more information, please visit www.xfab.com.
